INTRODUCTION
Hello! I am Sara Rong Martín Mangas. I am studying for being a teacher in Primary School in the univerisity of Salamanca. In this blog you will find different activities, videos and other things to work with children and promote as much physical response as possible.
This is a brief introduction to the things I like doing:
NEARPOD
NEARPOD I: JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
If you prefer it as a *pdf you also have the option:
NEARPOD II: JACK AND THE BEANSTALK

GAMES
JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
After reading and representing the story, you are ready to play some games and practice your vocabulary.
Here you will find four different games: word search, memory, crossword and sentences and pictures
PHONEMIC AWARENESS
HUNGRY ANIMALS
The lion has some words already prepared, you just have to grab the syllable and put it into his mouth. If you do not have a smartboard to play, you can do it with the elephant. If you do this secon option, you will find some circles in different colors, each of them will represent one syllable of the word you choose (yo do not need to use all the circles).
HAVE FUN LEARNING!

HAND ON ACTIVITIES1. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
1.1 WRITE DOWN THE NUMBER OF THE ONE YOU HEAR
High tech (smartboard) Low tech (print)
In this activity, the teacher says the noun that represents one of the pictures above.
The students should identify the one that the educator told and put the number of it.The order
of the images is:
1)Grandmother
2) Grandfather
3) Father
4) Mother
5) Brothers
6) Sisters
If this order does not fit you, you can always print the images and place them as you wish.
The first picture will send you to the high tech method, with is using a smartboard.
If you prefer using it in low tech (printing the image) click on the second one.
High tech (smartboard)
Low tech (print)
In this activity you will find different grids in which there are people's names and
different foods, clothes, colours... Students have to put the tiks and crosses that are in
one of the squares in order to create positive and negative sentences.
E.g: Leo wears jeans but he does not wear a red jumper.
The first picture will send you to the high tech method, with is using a smartboard.
If you prefer using it in low tech (printing the image) click on the second one.
1.4. LISTEN AND ARRANGE
High tech (smartboard) Low tech (print)
1.5. LISTEN AND WORK OUT THE ORDER
High tech (smartboard) Low tech (print)
In this activity students will listen to different moments related to a morning routine. They have to order them at the same time that the speaker says the action.
This is an example, feel free to create your own order.
1.6. LET´S TELL A STORY TOGETHER
This activity consists in representing a story or a song with icons. In this case,
I have done the song "we are going on a bear hunt", but you can do it with almost everything.
3. GET UP AND FIND OUT
3.2 TEST YOUR FRIENDS
This activity promotes physical response by interacting with each other.
As you can see below, mine is about scholl subjects, which I think is a very useful
topic because it is close to the students reality. Studens have to find another partner and
ask him to say a numer. The person holding the fortune teller will move it the numer
of times the other person has told. Then he chooses one of the triangles and answers
the question under it.
If you go to the section "videos and plays" you will find one showing the
steps to create your own one or you can also clic on the image below and go directly.
